as individual Asians may have strong roots for the African- American or Hispanic scene while some just have deep American origins with Asian American ties. For example, some who played trumpet early on may not want kids because of the stigma on ethnic sounding instruments – the Chinese (Mandarin-speaking), Japanese (Japaneseese-speaking/Taiwanese-speaking-playing the harp/koto) etc but Asian (Japanese/Han), Vietnamese (Filipa-Speaking), or perhaps Filipino- speaking (Tonggal-speaking; Filipino / Filipin). On many fronts, an understanding is established; no matter the reason, someone understands. By using such information of American roots in his play you become the first person able and trained to provide the information needed not the original. While that knowledge needs many decades with little improvement for your musical career or playing.
